Once every two months Adele would visit her therapist and discuss what was on her mind and what she was going through since her sophomore year of high school. At first she was hesitant when it came to opening up to stranger.
-Five years into the future-
"Adele, just relax, it was five years ago that this...being..Rayden disappeared. You have had a rough time sleeping, you're over-working yourself to death. I don't know how you handled two jobs, softball, ballet, soccer, yearbook club, night school in college during your entire sophmore to senior year. That's intense for any teenager. You pushed yourself to the point you wouldn't think of him or of what happened to him...am I right?" the therapist stated. Adele stared at the wall and whispered, "I thought of him every day..."
-Six years into the future-
"Can I call you Ms. Fawkes?" Adele asked. She was excited and smiling again. "Well of course, tell me, what are you so excited about?" Ms. Fawkes questioned. "I'm getting married. We've been dating for a year, and I'm so excited. His name is Sayid Jafar, he's arabian...I don't know which country though, but apparently I knew him in highschool....which is funny cause I don't recognize him at all!" Adele giggled. "Ah, well I hope he's good looking!" Ms. Fawkes joked. "He's very good looking!" Adele grinned.
-Seven years into the future-
"So how is everything going with the kids now?" Ms. Fawkes smiled. "Wait what? I came here to talk about my mother....not my kids." Adele laughed. "Ah I see....how are things with her? What happened to her seven years ago?" Ms. Fawkes questioned. Adele shrugged her shoulders and leaned over the desk, "She's alright, she's in a nursery and has lost the ability to talk now...which is nice cause instead of listening to her bitching, I just get to watch her eyes twitch and glare! It's hilarious!"
"My, my Adele. It seems you're getting stronger and not letting that woman get to you anymore. This is good, this is healthy for you Adele. I'm very proud of you!" Ms. Fawkes smiled. "Well thank you...I also...I also wanted to share something with you..." Adele mumbled. Ms. Fawkes stared back at her, a little worried this time. "What is it?" she asked. "I had another dream about him...about Rayden."Adele said softly. Ms. Fawkes just waited...she made it a comfortable silence for Adele so she could hear more.
"I was getting ready for a dinner party with my husband, Sayid. And everything jumped back into my heart. The moment I met Rayden, the night he took me to his place, the afternoon we watched the clouds...that afternoon was the moment I fell in love with him. Then the way my mother treated me was a horrible mess. But in the dream, I fall to the ground breaking down my walls crying so hard I could feel it lurching in my chest. It hurt so bad to feel those things again...those memories and feelings all rushing into me like being stabbed with a knife. It wouldn't leave...
"Then I began to feel something from behind me. I never looked, but I knew it was him...I knew it was Rayden calling out to me...." Adele felt the heat from her cheeks and the tears begining to fall. "I missed him soo much..."

Chapter 5 Why would I not understand?
When Zoey's finale debut arrived, she won everything! From awards to contracts, that now they were going to Russia. Meaning she would be leaving Rayden behind. She called out to him, and he arrived out of thin air right next to her in the front yard. "What is it, what's wrong?" he asked. Mumbling through tears, "My mom is moving us to Russia, Rayden! TO RUSSIA! And on top of that, after Zoey's performance, she told me I was worthless example of a ballerina. And that I am what people call a ugly example of a human being....Rayden......" the tears just kept coming. She couldn't stop it was coming from deep inside the black box she held onto for so long since she met Zoey. "Shhh....it's going to be ok...you're going to be alright.." he whispered and began wrapping his arms around her. "I'm right here. I think you're an imaginitive, creative, loving human being. You have more talent then Zoey could ever have." he reassured.
"You're wrong! You're just wrong! She doesn't see that, and never will." Adele shouted, struggling out of his arms. "Adele listen to yourself, you're being hysterical! Why would I not understand what you're going through? I've dealt with these things for centuries!" he stated. "I don't care! I WANT HER DEAD! I WANT THAT HORRIBLE WOMAN WHO CALLS herself a mother DEAD!" she shreiked. Rayden released his hold on her and stared back at her in shock. "You promised me you wouldn't..." he breathed. Adele crawled into a ball in tears, "I want her dead, I want that miserable witch gone!" she sobbed. Rayden fell to his knees, trying to reach for her but couldn't. An overwelming dark cloud began to spin and grow arond Adele. Rayden couldn't fight it...for it was consuming him as well. "Adele....Adele..." he shouted. She couldn't hear anything from him. Just continued crying. Then...soon enough...everything went black.
* * *
Adele woke up the next morning and turned to look for Rayden. There was nothing there. Just his necklace and human clothes. "What....where did he go without his clothes?" she turned around in circles looking for any evidence of where he went. But nothing. All she could remember was a silent screaming from the kitchen and the empty shouting coming from the black cloud surrounding her last night...
Chapter 4 Forget it...
Days had gone by and Adele would try so hard to spend time with Rayden and catch up in school. Life was getting worse. Zoey's debut was coming up and Adele didn't know what to do or say. Her mother patronized her on her every move, but when Zoey messed up, it was an innocent mistake. So for her times of feeling angish or empty, Rayden was always there holding her along the way. "Just give me the weight Adele," he soothe as he held her in his arms. "I don't know how..." she whispered. "Just tell me everything you're feeling, vent to me, and as the weight lifts from your soul, I'll carry it the rest of the way for you." he explained. "You will?" she asked. "Yes...I will." he stated. So the two got themselves comfortable on the couch at the Asher house. She leaned into the cradle of his legs and told him everything that was piling up inside her....
-Sleepover-
By the time Adele was finished venting her heart and soul out, it was time to go home. When she got home she started getting into her pajamas and saw that Zoey had soo much on her mind. "Adele....what's it like to be in love?" she asked while setting up the beds for her and Zoey's younger sister Emily that was visiting. "What? I don't know, what do you think?" Adele chuckled as she snapped her pj bra on. "...I think love blossoms when the person looks deep into your eyes and sees everything. To be in love...is like siting under the stars and almost seeing and beleiveing that there's hope for everthing, and he looks over at you completely happy because of that...I think that's what love is...right?" she asked. Adele just rolled her eyes and chuckled, "Zoey you don't know love because you've never been in love. Love surprises us and the instant it touches you, you're happy where ever you go... at least that's what I think." she smiled and looked over at Emily pouring herself several glasses. "Hey what are you mixing there?" Adele asked. Emily just looked up at her with a smug smile on her face. "Heh, very large screw-drivers, want some?"
Adele and Zoey shrugged their shoulders and deceided to give it a go! They discovered after two glasses Zoey was a crying-emotional drunk, And after six glasses, Adele was a pushy-wrestling drunk, and after eight glasses, Emily was way, way, way too friendly. It repulsed Adele a couple of times.
By the time the girls settled down, Emily past out on the balcony while Zoey instantly nuzzeled into bed wishing to sleep the next ten hours. Adele threw up in Emily's school bag and laid down on the floor next to Zoey staring at the ceiling till five in the morning. She heard movement from the dinning balcony across the room. Someone was here...
Adele jumped from the floor a bit too quickly and ran out to the balcony having to step over Emily's crashed figure, and saw to her surprise...Rayden.
She ran into his open arms, and ended up being lifted into the air from the momentum. "You came...you actually came!" she giggled. Rayden smirked and chuckled, "Have you been drinking?" Adele giggled a bit more and answered, "Yes, but you won't beleive how much Emily drank. She was like a tank!" Rayden put her back down and looked over at Emilys sleeping figure, "I can see, is she going to be ok in the morning?" he asked. Adele shrugged her shoulders as she walked him back into Zoey's room, "I'd wake her up, but the bitch deserves the mysquito bites that'll turn her face into a pizza for the next week!" Rayden was surprised with the rudeness she held.. how much of it was she holding back?
When they reached the bedroom, Rayden sat her down and held her in his arms. He kept whispering through her endless giggles, "Promise me you wont give in...promise me Adele...that darkness, that hate, that anger...it'll call out to the shinigami and I don't know what I'll do if you tell him you want you the ones who made your life worse dead..."
Chapter 3 Escape
"Come away with me..." he breathed into her shoulder. "Where?" she whispered. "Anywhere...I want to take you away from here. Give you anything you want from me. I'm yours...for the keeping." he stated. Adele smiled softly, "That sounds....wishful...I guess I shall." she agreed.
-Take Me Away to the Asher abode-
When they went to the estate, Adele asked, "You said you were from another place...I didn't know you lived in the forest?" she questioned. Rayden took her hand in his and said softly, "This is our human home. A place we use to travel from our realm to the human realm. No one is ever home so I thought I could take you here." Adele blushed and gave him a look for naughty intentions. "What do you ask of me?" he asked trying to hold back an oncoming grin. "We're alone...what do you think?" she tilted her head as the smile spread across her face. She ran off into the house and beckoned him to follow. "Come my sweet!" she swooned from the front door. Rayden froze and just stared in shock, "Well aren't we in a hurry..."
* * *
Hours later she woke up in the bed they shared, and felt the morning light breeze through the curtains from the balcony across the room. She saw Rayden there lighting a cigarette. "Rayden....what are you doing?" she asked from the sheets. He glanced over at her and said softly, "You should put some clothes on, I need to get you back home." Adele nodded her head and crawled out of the bed to find some folded clothes set aside for her on the dresser. "Thank you...was I....are you mad at me?" she asked while she fumbled with snapping her bra back on. Rayden seemed to be struggling lighting his cigarette, mumbling, "No, you were just fine." But Adele felt something was up. He kept avoiding eye contact and the air around him was as loving and romantic as usual. Something was bothering him. "Was I that bad in bed? It was my first time you know..and if you've had other women...or elves...I guess I'm not up to par yet, but I can be!" Adele encouraged. Rayden froze at the balcony and turned to look at her, "What? What are you saying?! It was my first time too, Adele...its....just...nevermind. Get some clothes on, I need to take you back home."
Adele walked towards him, anticipating the worst. Was he going to break up with me? Is he going to leave me? Why! What did I do wrong? When she reached the doorway, Rayden went back to lighting his ciggarette and finally came out with it, "My father found out my soul mate is a human...he's very angry Adele. SO I need to take you home," he stated. Adele gasped, "Will I see you again?" she asked. Rayden didn't answer, just continued to smoke. "From here on, maybe...just maybe."
-Leaving you behind-
When it came time to go, Adele walked around the house trying to memorize every little bit. Is this goodbye? Will I ever find this house again?
Chapter 2 Boarding School
Zoey had just received a phone call that in order for the ballet troupe to respect her, she would have to be forced into boarding school. And not just any boarding school, but thee boarding school of Europe. It was the school that marked you head of the curb when it came to universities and careers out on the market. When she came home that afternoon to tell Adele's mother, Olivia, the wonderful news, she ended up coming home to Adele staring into a book about ballet tips. "Hey guess what!" Zoey smiled, she hurried to the table and grabbed the seat next to Adele to capture her full attention. Adele didn't even move from her page. "Yeah I heard from mom about the school, I'm going to end up the only sophmore there that out grows her clothes every month." she mumbled. "But...Adele I'll be a there with you along the way!" Zoey reasurred. Adele finally looked up from her book and stared at Zoey, "Are you serious? Zoey you'll be a freshman at that school. That's a hell of a lot of difference!" she stated.
Zoey just took in a deep breathe and leaned over the table to stare deep into Adele's eyes, "I'm your friend no matter how old I am. We'll be just fine." she smirked. Adele huffed and slammed her book down on the table, "Look, when you're a freshman, you can start all over again and meet the friends who will be with you till your senior year. Me, I'm screwed! I'm the sophmore transfering from a homeschool education and into a lions den of teenagers, B.O., snotty girls, and stubborn-know-at-all teachers! So don't tell me we'll be fine!" Adele roared. Zoey groaned and laid her head on the table, she now felt uneasy about going to the school...
-First Day of School-
at five in the morning, she woke up early completely excited at what was going to happen at school! Her uniform was ironed, her collar starched, forgetting her hair was the same style as yesterday! She was ready for whatever waited at the new school!
Meanwhile in the studyroom, Adele heard a knock from the balcony door. She quietly answered the door and saw to her surprise Rayden trying to be human. He dressed the part for a punk rocker, but something was different. His eyes were completely different from when she had met him the first time. "What happened to your eyes?" she whispered. Hoping her mother wouldn't hear their voices. "When an Asher meets his soul mate, their eyes change from silver to red." he smirked. Adele blushed, because the entesity from his stare began to gather the fluttering from her heart. He slowly moved closer to her and reached for a strand of her hair, "So you're going to that school?" he asked. His breath smelled of cinniman and when he continued to stare into her eyes, just his breatheing would touch her lips...tingling....it was always one step closer to kissing. "Yes..."she replied. She couldn't take it...she wanted to feel the smoothness of his skin against her fingers, the tastes of his lips upon her own. Hinting she wanted more just from tilting her head and begening to close her eyes, a shout from downstairs caught her off guard. "ADELE GET YOUR SORRY ARSE IN THE CAR!" her mother shouted. "I need to go!" she mumbled. After the shouting from downstairs got louder, Rayden couldn't grab her attention when he tried to kiss for her cheek and ended up kissing air..."Have a good day at school." he whispered eventually.
Chapter 1 I need you, I miss you
-Nine years ago-
Arriving in Denmark so her mother could look after Zoey's ballerina skills and preparing her to become the next Prima; Adele was completely alone. From her tall stalky form, to her less than decent ballet skills, Adele had been fed every day that she was never good enough. "You're not like Zoey" to "How can you call yourself a ballerina when Zoey is the perfect example of one!" Every day the taunting voice of her mother from the studio was swarming her with false hope that one day, her mother would say, "What a ballerina, my very own daughter." But those words never touched her heart.
Adele slept in the attic while Zoey had the beautiful guest room. Every morning, Adele would wake up and tell herself, "Today is a new day," When really it was the same as always. Her clothes unfolded in the drawer as her flaming red hair gathered negative attention all around her to the point the maid suggested she dye her hair blond. "Today is a new day," she smiled for her heart. But it was never a new day. Just the same rainy day breaking her down....
-A New Day-
To entertain herself while her mother was out training her best friend Zoey to be a Prima ballerina under close and secret watch from the Russian balle troupe, Adele would talk to her nanny about the stories around the small village in Denmark.
"Every seven months a shinigami will appear to cure a girl's broken heart or a man's sweet revenge by killing anything without a second thought. People were outraged by this, so for years, the Asher family began to rise powerfully in the village and would send out one of their sons to defend the citizens against the shinigami. The Asher's were the last of a long line of elves that left this world for another. So, if you every see one Adele, don't ever let him go.." the old woman smiled.
* * * * *
So days later, Adele would always try and look for the Asher family. There wasn't any luck, the library was closed off to them, and the people of the village would ignore her every time! Till one afternoon her mother told her the news that Zoey had become a Prima Ballerina, "She was so wonderful, Adele, I'm so proud of her, why can't you be anything like Zoey, Adele? She's so sweet and kind and talented, yet you're tall, lanky, and have the worst posture, I don't know why you haven't tried to be a Prima. I wish I had given birth to Zoey rather than you..." her mother stated.
That was the clincher, Adele ran up to her room in tears, angry and hateful for what her mother just said, that she looked out her window and began to feel that hatred call out for a shinigami to kill her mother. She no longer cared for her mother's life anymore. "I just want that horrible woman gone..." she breathed into the empty air. But suddenly before the thoughts dug deeper, a glowing haze of white hair and silver eyes stood before her. "Are you a shinigami?" she whimpered. He lifted his hand in the air and breathed a spell that surrounded her. The glowing of white and purple dust flicked and pulled at her skin. Just from breathing, the dust had entered her lungs and she instantly fell deep into a haze. Her mind was loosing the thoughts of hate and broken dreams, that when he stepped closer...her heart skipped a beat. He wrapped his arms around her and began chanting into her body,"I repel thee". Soon enough a dark smoke lifted from her heart and disappeared into the empty room. But she was now empty..."Don't leave me..." she gasped, clutching for hope, for security, for love, for anything to lift this empty feeling from her heart. When he began to let go. "I need to---" he was cut off by a strange feeling overwhelming his every thought.
* * *
She....she was his soul mate....he had finally found her soul....
"Who are you?" he asked. She felt the trance he created begin to intensify, "I'm....I'm Adelevice......Adelevice Lestat....I'm nobody"she choked. The elf shook his head, "No...you, Adelevice, are something wonderful to me." he breathed. Instantly Adele fell to the ground whimpering from the cold emptiness inside, "Then give me a reason to hope...everyday she says things about how wonderful Zoey is...but not once...not once does she notice me...." She began to crawl towards his feet, whimpering, "Give me a reason to hope..." The elf kneeled down and held her hands in his, "My name is Rayden Asher, the last son of the Asher family. You....you're the first human who's ever met and remembered an Asher in 200 years..."he stated. Adele shook her head, it wasn't enough to keep going on, noticing this, Rayden pressed his lips against her fingers, staring straight into her green eyes, "After 500 years, I found you...my eternal mate....my soul mate..." he breathed. Just hearing those words lifted her limbs, her soul, her happiness her everything, she was uncontrollably happy for the first time in her life. "Thank you...." she smiled...
